My Top Five Best Books of 2012

Hey guys! So here is my Best list for this year. It took a while for me to decide my picks, but I finally realized that all five of these books deserve to be on it. They were all amazing in their own ways, and they're very close to my heart.

Without further ado, here are my best books of 2012!

by Susan Dennard

Reason: This was actually a very unexpected-ly awesome book for me! Unexpected becau-se it was way out of my comfort zone. But this book ended up effortlessly pulling me in, and I can honestly say it's the best historical fiction YA I've read yet, since I don't exactly read much of the genre. But this book defin-itely got me interested!

by Marissa Meyer

Reason: I've said this a dozen times: I'm a huge fairytale-retelling fan, and whenever I see a YA book of that genre, I'd always have high hopes for it. I had high hopes for Cinder and they were definitely met. This book was very enjoyable and did an awesome job in not making me bored, because I was enter-tained from beginning to end. And I loved the mix of a fairytale-retelling with a dystop-ian sci-fi world.

I had so much fun reading this book, and I definitely can't wait to see more from this series!

by Cate Tiernan

Reason: I adore this series to pieces. I think it probably has my most favorite YA prota-gonist of all time. Before reading the series, though, my hopes were pretty low. I'd tho-ught it was going to be just another generic paranormal series. But it was much, much more than that, and I'm so glad to have read it, yet really sad that it's over. D:

Nonetheless, it ended perfectly, and I had to put the final installment on this list because of my undying love and devotion to this ser-ies.

Also, helpful tip: read this series if you want to learn how to write a protagonist the right way.

by Hannah Moskowitz

Reason: I love this woman. So, so much. Even if she wrote a whole book in gibberish, I would read it and love it regardless. She can do no wrong. She just knows how to hit you in the feels, you know? I love all the characters she's created and have constantly wept over the fact that they are merely fictional, because I want them all in my life. I love the way she writes and how it's so raw and real that it guts you.

This book was extremely heartfelt and beau-tiful, and there's no question that it deser-ves a spot on this list.

by John Green

Reason: Okay, this may be a cliche choice to some of you, but I just had to put this in first place, because I really do believe it's the best 2012-released book I've read yet. I'd thought that, since this was released very early this year that maybe there would be another book released later that would change my mind ab-out putting this in my number one spot. But no.

This book made me feel every single emotion ever, and it also obliterated my heart to pie-ces. But I still feel like it deserves the num-ber one spot because it may just be the book that is closest to my heart.
