Seventeen-year-old Vane Weston is the only survivor of the category five tornado that killed his parents. Every night since the storm, a beautiful, dark-haired girl has swept through his dreams. She's the only clue to his past, and he clings to the hope that she's real. Audra is real, but she's also a sylph. An air elemental. She walks on the wind, can translate its alluring songs, and can even twist it into a weapon. She's also a guardian--Vane's guardian--and has sworn an oath to protect him at all costs. Even if it means sacrificing her own life. When a hasty mistake reveals their location to the enemy who murdered both of their families, Audra must help Vane remember who he is. He has a power to claim--the secret language of the West Wind, which only he can understand. But unlocking his heritage will also unlock a memory Audra wishes could be erased. And as the storm bears down on them she starts to realize the greatest danger might not be the warriors coming to destroy them, but the forbidden romance that's grown between them. Set amongst the desert airstreams of Coachella Valley in California, and alive with wonderful wind-swept prose, LET THE SKY FALL is about two teenagers broken by their pasts, divided by their futures, and bound by love.

{Ramblings} The Lady Gaga Concert in Indonesia

Okay, so, this is something I've been wanting to get off my chest for a long while now.

I'm a huge fan of Gaga, and have been for the past 3-4 years. The way she dresses or how people think she acts never bothered me, because I've seen a lot of interviews and such of her to know that she's a good person. Her Monster Ball tour's next stop was supposed to be my country, Indonesia, and I wasn't excited because I knew what was going to happen.

The thing you have to know is that Indonesia is a very very religious country. Like, it takes religious to a whole-nother level. And when the politicians and the Islamic communities heard about her having a concert here, everyone went berserk.

If you turned on the news over here these past few weeks, all you'd see are people angered by Gaga and that they would do everything in their power to prevent her from performing here. What enrages me is that they're going too far. They're talking about the concert as if it's a terrorist attack. They might actually even think it is, because they're scared that, with Lady Gaga performing here, it's going to "corrupt our youth". They wouldn't even hesitate to use violence.

I'm not kidding.

Now Gaga has canceled the concert, and her fans over here are furious, including myself, because all of the hate she got is absolutely unnecessary. They honestly treated her like a terrorist. They still do. To this day, the news channels are filled with people talking crap about her.

I'm thinking that they're acting like that because Gaga supports the LGBT community, and the people here think that homosexuality is a disease. They also think that Gaga's clothes are too "revealing".

I'm scared that I might be stuck here for the rest of my life, because this country is an absolute joke.

{Randomness} My Top 10 Most Overrated Songs of 2012

So this is another {Randomness} post. xD I actually only have one other post like this, and that is my post about Christina Grimmie, which is a very underrated YouTube singer that you all really need to check out because she's amazing. <3

Also, should I do more of these {Randomness} type of posts, that don't necessarily have anything to do with books? What do you guys think?

Anyways, I decided to just make this post on, in my opinion, the top 10 most overrated songs of 2012 so far. By overrated, I mean they are played absolutely everywhere and it's like you can't even get away from them. Some of these songs are actually released in 2011, but I put them here because they are still overplayed even to this day.

{Ramblings} Well, Alright Then

Those of you who follow my blog know that I ranted about bad author behavior a month ago, in my Dear Authors post, where I discussed how negative reviews are not for authors, and that attacking reviewers won't do anything for an author except help them gain haters and lose their readers. I get that my blog isn't very "popular", but I made that post because I was just sick of seeing bad author behavior literally every month, or at least every two weeks or so, and I wanted to get all that off my chest.

{Review} Body and Soul by Stacey Kade

Title: Body and Soul
Author: Stacey Kade
Publisher: Hyperion
Series: The Ghost and the Goth, #3
Release Date: May 1st, 2012
Pages: 316 (ebook)
Source: Bought
Rating: ★★★★★

The Ghost
I’ve been trapped in the body of Lily “Ally” Turner for a month now. Talk about a fashion crisis on an epic scale. What worries me more, though, is sometimes I catch Will looking at me like he thinks I’m Lily...or that he wishes I were. Without the good looks of my former self, I don’t know who I am, or if who that is is good enough. I need out of this mess. Now. Will and I have been looking for a solution, one that would separate me from Lily without killing her. But it’s not going well. Then, when it seems like things couldn’t get any worse, we run into Misty, my former best friend and boyfriend-stealer extraordinaire, who claims she’s being haunted...by me. Seriously? I’m determined to get to the bottom of who’s pretending to be the spirit of Alona Dare (while I’m pretending to be someone else) and then get the heck out of this body. Or die trying...

The Goth

I’ll admit it. It’s really weird to look at Alona but see Lily. I do know the difference, though, contrary to what Alona might be saying. And Alona is more than a pretty face to me, not that she would believe that. Our one lead for some help in this messed up situation might be a page torn from the yellow pages-—the “Psychics” section-—I found in my dad’s stuff. One of the “fakes” seems a bit more real-—and odd-—than the others. Before I can investigate further, though, Alona is off and chasing a ghost that’s probably nothing more than a figment of Misty’s guilty imagination. Now Lily’s family is freaking out because she didn’t come home, my mom is ordering me to stay out of it, and something is definitely wrong with the person formerly known as Lily “Ally” Turner...

Twittercide [twit-er-sahyd]: the killing of one human being by another while the victim is in the act of tweeting. Call me crazy, but I figured writing for the Herbert Hoover High Homepage would be a pretty sweet gig. Pad the resume for college applications, get a first look at the gossip column, spend some time ogling the paper’s brooding bad-boy editor, Chase Erikson. But on my first big story, things went... a little south. What should have been a normal interview with Sydney Sanders turned into me discovering the Homecoming Queen-hopeful dead in her pool. Electrocuted while Tweeting. Now, in addition to developing a reputation as HHH’s resident body finder, I’m stuck trying to prove that Sydney’s death wasn’t suicide. I’m starting to long for the days when my biggest worry was whether the cafeteria was serving pizza sticks or Tuesday Tacos...
